Sri Lanka Customs has launched the Authorized Economic Operator Programme on 20th, January 2022 with the patronage of Mr. K.A. Vimalenthirarajah (Director-General, Department of Trade and Investment Policies).
The three companies that have completed the application process and met the required standards were awarded the Compliant Operator (CEO) status by the chief guest. Basilur Tea Export (Pvt) Ltd, Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC, and Paranthan Chemicals Company Limited are the 3 companies who received their certificates at the event.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has assisted the Sri Lanka Customs as the strategic event partner for the AEO programme launch.
