Sri Lanka Customs has launched the pilot project of the Authorized Economic Operator programme on 14th, September 2020 at the main auditorium of the Sri Lanka Customs Headquarters.
The Authorized Economic Operator Programme of Sri Lanka which is developed in accordance with the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards and other international standards is scheduled to be launched in January 2022.
Prior to the launch of the programme AEO Steering Committee of Sri Lanka Customs has decided to complete a pilot project on the programme in order to streamline the AEO application processes and validation processes.
The pilot project is launched with the participation of thirty companies that have volunteered for the programme in the conducted awareness sessions.
